Which vehicle fits your group?
Every passenger needs a seat, luggage needs space, and the road decides how big a vehicle can go. Here is what fits each group size, how many vehicles you need, and what each one costs per km.
4–7 people: a car with driver. 9–26: a tempo traveller (or a Force Urbania for 10–17). 27–35: a mini bus. 36–56: a coach. Above 56, book two vehicles, and leave a seat or two spare for luggage on long trips.

Before you choose
Count everyone, then add luggage
Every passenger needs a seat, children included. On trips of three days or more, leave one or two seats spare or ask for a roof carrier: suitcases in the aisle make long drives miserable.
Elders need easy steps and halts
For groups with senior citizens, a van or coach with a low first step and pushback seats matters more than the last few rupees. Ask the operator to plan a halt every two to three hours.
Hills and old towns favour smaller vehicles
Ghat roads, temple lanes and hotel driveways in hill stations are easier for a tempo traveller or a mini bus. A full-size coach may have to stop at the edge of town, so the group walks or switches to local taxis.
Two smaller vehicles can beat one big one
A group of 30 can take one mini bus or two tempo travellers. Two vehicles cost a little more but let the group split for different sights, and a breakdown never strands everyone.
AC, seats and the vehicle's age
Ask for AC, the seat layout (2+1 in tempo travellers, 2+2 in coaches) and the model year. Operators on Yippigo must send the vehicle they quoted.
